Order of the Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for a DAHW Employee

DAHW project manager Manfred Göbel awarded

DAHW project manager in Brazil, Manfred Göbel, born in Eichstätt, was awarded the Order of the Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. The German ambassador, Friedrich Prot von Kunow, presented him with the Order in Brazil during a ceremony.

„The award is more than a sign of recognition for me“, says Manfred Göbel. „It is also a compliment to DAHW and an honour to the donors without whom our work would not have been possible“, says the 52-year-old family father who is married to a Brazilian doctor.

Since January 2005, Manfred Göbel is manager of several relief projects in the largest South-American country: his tasks include the coordination of DAHW projects in five Federal Brazilian States. Moreover, he is in charge of coordination of the collaboration with State Health Authorities.
