Financial report 2006

Your donations get there

The honorary treasurer of DAHW, business economist Peter Hofmann, commissioned the audit company Solidaris to audit the 2006 annual accounts of the German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association. This audit showed that the bookkeeping and accounting “are in accordance with the principles of proper accounting”, as can be seen from the adjoining note.

The auditors from Munich also checked the foreign accounting. They certified that the aid reached our partners in the field and was used in the countries for the purposes for which it was intended – according to the wishes of the donors.

Furthermore, DAHW was once again accredited by the German Institute for Social Affairs (DZI) in Berlin.

On 2 March 2007 the Würzburg tax authority exempted the German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association e.V. from corporate income tax in 2006, “because it exclusively and directly serves tax-privileged charitable and benevolent purposes, in line with the spirit of Art. 51ff. of the German Tax Code”.

These confirmations prove:
Your donations are in good hands.

Again DAHW has been accredited by DZI

Once again in 2006, the German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (DAHW) was accredited by the German Central Institute for Social Affairs (DZI). DZI applies strict standards when awarding its seal of approval: it is granted to charitable organisations whose PR work presents themselves in an ”open, true and factual“ manner. Transparency and clarity in financial reporting are also a prerequisite as is the auditing of their yearly accounts. The seal indicates donors can trust DAHW.
