Unveiling of plaque ‘60 years of Partnership between DAHW, Germany and MALC’

Mr. Burkard Koemm, CEO – DAHW (Germany), along with Mr. Ernst Hisch - MALC Governing Board Member, Sr. Dr. Marie Frings - MALC Governing Board Member, Mr. Mervyn Lobo, CEO – MALC and Mr. Savio Pereira, Director HR & Administration - MALC unveiled a plaque thanking DAHW (Germany) for their longstanding support since 1961, on 2nd December, ’21, in the OPD area.

MALC celebrated the longstanding partnership of ‘60 Years’ with DAHW, Germany, on 3rd December, 2021 at MALC Head Office, Karachi. It was an honour to have Mr. Burkard Koemm, CEO – DAHW (Germany) and MALC Governing Board Members Mr. Ernst Hisch & Sr. Dr. Marie Frings present on the occasion, especially for travelling during COVID-19 times. It provided great encouragement to the team.

Addressing MALC team as colleagues, Mr. Koemm conveyed greetings of the Mayor of Würzburg & the people of Germany, and respect for the work being carried out by the staff. Mr. Koemm on behalf of DAHW, Germany expressed his gratitude for having MALC as a strong partner with dedicated staff who are working towards achieving a common goal. He also pledged for another 60 years of cooperation between MALC and DAHW. Uncertain about what the future holds, he stated that the last project supported by DAHW will be of MALC. He encouraged the staff to continue the good work and that each worker should teach the new generation the spirit of MALC i.e. respect for every human being irrespective of their background.

Mr. Ernst Hisch, MALC Governing Board Member, recalling the heated conversations between Mr. Koebler, Former President – DAHW (Germany) and Dr. Ruth Pfau, Founder Member – MALC, in Germany, motivated the team to constructively discuss various topics for the betterment of the Program.

Mr. Hisch, Mr. Koemm, Sr. Dr. Marie Frings and Mr. Mervyn Lobo, CEO – MALC, also cut a cake to mark the celebration.
